WELCOME TO THE EARLY JET AGE

No Vulcans fly today. The first flew in 1956, ending service with the Royal Air Force in 1984. The last flying Vulcan was retired in 2015, ending its role as one of the most amazing airshow attractions anyone could see.

This project is a recreation of the early jet age, bringing back to life something that is extinct... never to fly again.

THE AVRO VULCAN FLIGHT SIMULATOR

The AVRO Vulcan Simulator was started in 2018, inspired by the Vulcan Simulator built by Steve Cozens in England. This simulator, located in the United States, runs from the JustFlight Vulcan add-on, supported by SimInnovations instrumentation. All components were fabricated from the ground-up, with the flight control rig and throttle quadrant custom-made by Northern Flight Sim. No actual AVRO Vulcan parts were used, as none are available. The simulator features a 180-degree wraparound visual system, surround sound, and fully-bussed flight controls. The cockpit shell is riveted aluminum, built to exact 1:1 scale.
